The Indian Knowledge System (IKS) is the knowledge and wisdom that developed in India from ancient time. It includes Vedas, Upanishads, Ayurveda, Yoga, Philosophy, Science, Mathematics, Literature and Arts.

•Yajurveda – It explains rituals, duties and the correct way of performing yajnas.

•Samaveda – It is related to music, chanting and devotion.

•Atharvaveda – It gives knowledge about medicine, health, agriculture and daily life.

The Vedas are the foundation of IKS because they teach knowledge, good values and practical life. Even today, their ideas are useful in education and society.
